- Is the Hiring Heatwave Set to Continue?
- Back to the Office? The Status of Remote Work
- Implications for Compensation
Introduction
With the broader conversation around inflation, global instability, and the likelihood of an impending recession, we address the question that our industry continues to face: “So is hiring going to get any easier?” What tends to be behind that question is not only “Can we realistically hope to find great people more quickly, and have our offers accepted?” but also the question of money: “Could we finally hire someone once again that fits within our existing comp bands?!” We share our views and those of a number of leading firms in the industry.
The other topic attracting the attention of senior leadership is how to deal with remote work. We can all seek advice on the latest legal regulations, and we see the press about what is happening at tech firms, but what about within the investment industry? We share some proprietary information on current practices and a look to what will come next.
Finally, we hear readers often enjoy seeing the “people moves” sections that cover investment professionals who have switched seats over the prior quarter within private equity, private credit, and hedge funds. In this issue, we show “people moves” within two other talent pools that we track closely – moves made within investor relations/ marketing and moves within human resources/ recruiting at investment firms.
We hope you get to enjoy the rest of summer.
